Do we need to provide any props for the session?

We have a considerable inventory of props, outfits, and posing fabrics. We carefully select props, outfits, etc., that are specifically made for newborns and reflect our professional style. You may bring certain props to add a personal touch to your pictures and we will do our best to incorporate these items. We do believe less is more. Nursery decor (personalized items, signage, etc.) or stuffed animals can be distracting. Coming home outfits, shoes, jewelry etc. typically do not photograph well. Our goal is to create images that are timeless yet playful. If you are interested in a specific concept, prop, or pose for your session please let us know at least 2 weeks prior to the session, so we can make sure we are prepared. Again, for safety and artistic purposes, we are particular about what props we choose to include during the session.

Do you offer a “Watch Me Grow”package?

We currently offer Milestone Mini Sessions. Please inquire for details.

Do you offer a maternity and newborn package?

We do offer $225 off the maternity session when booked with a newborn session.

Do you offer digital images?

All sessions include digital files to print for personal use. The number of images vary depending on the type of session.

How long will the session last?

Session typically last about 1-3 hours. During the session we allow time for feeding, changing, and soothing baby. We are on “baby time”, so please be prepared to stay for the entire session and remember patience is essential.

How many poses are included in the sessions?

We offer a minimum of 4 poses with one pose utilizing our larger props (e.g., moon, fishing pier, etc.).  Sibling, family and additional poses may be purchased a la carte. Please inquire for a la carte pricing.

What should we bring to the session?

Breast milk or formula
Nursing pillow (optional)
Diapers and wipes
Receiving blankets (at least 4)
Burp clothes
*Pacifier (Even if your baby will not take one or you do not plan to use one, a pacifier may help to soothe the baby during the session. Its use will only be temporary and will help move the session along.)
Change of clothes for parents and baby (accidents can and do happen)
Wedding rings (even if they may not fit at the time)

At our studio you will find all of the comforts of home including a changing table, bottle warmer and comfortable place for feeding baby. We also provide water and light snacks, but you may choose to bring your own as well. We do recommend eating before the session.

What should we wear to the session?

Simple, neutral colored clothing is suggested. No patterns, graphics or logos. Minimal jewelry and accessories. For moms, a simple, everyday black or white t-shirt, tank or cami top. For dads, a plain black or white t-shirt. Our studio is typically 85+ degrees so please dress accordingly.

When is the ideal time to book a session?

Maternity sessions should be scheduled around 28-32 weeks.

Newborn session are typically booked during the second trimester. After placing a deposit, we note your due date on our calendar and will schedule your session once the baby arrives. Newborns are best photographed within the first two weeks of life, 7 to 14 days is ideal.

As your baby grows we suggest booking future sessions based on milestones not age. Around 4 months, most babies are able to hold their head up during “tummy time”. At 6-8 months old, babies are able to sit up unassisted and of course smile. We suggest waiting until your baby has reached these milestones to schedule your session.

Smash the Cake sessions are scheduled around 11-12 months old.

Where do the sessions take place?

Our sessions take place in our home studio located in Georgetown, TX. We do not currently travel for newborn sessions as we prefer to have full access to all our props, outfits, and posing fabrics.

Who may participate in the session?

During newborn sessions we love to include both the parents and siblings. However we prefer not to include pets in our sessions. To limit noise and distractions we do ask that only immediate family be present at the session.
